Corporate nights at the house
The long room and the dining room can be taken for an evening by a company, a crew or a club that would like to dine and play together.
An evening for the whole company

Meekatharra is a town of crews, teams and rosters, and many of them like to mark the end of a project or a long stretch of work with a shared evening. The house can be taken in whole or in part for that purpose, with dinner for up to forty in the dining room and the long casino room reserved for the party alone.
A typical evening begins at half past five with tea on the verandah. Dinner follows at a long table, with a set menu agreed in advance and prepared by Trevor Rossi. At half past seven the party moves to the casino room, where a dealer is assigned to each table and the games are introduced for anyone who has not played before.
Many companies choose a friendly tournament, played on chips with no cash value, in which the whole party takes part. It has no entry fee and no prizes of any kind. The champion of the night is announced, their name is written on the board and the brass cup is put beside them for photographs, then returned to the shelf.
The evening is arranged by telephone. Please call the house, tell us the approximate number, the preferred evening and any dietary requirements, and Tanya Hunter will propose a plan and confirm it in writing. All guests must be 18 or over, and nothing is played online or for money.
Private evenings are held on quieter nights, and the casino room is closed to other visitors for their duration. A booking of this kind is usually confirmed a few weeks in advance, though shorter notice can sometimes be accommodated.
Catering is straightforward. Dishes are drawn from the regular menu, and the kitchen will adapt the choices for vegetarian guests, those with allergies and those who simply dislike the idea of lamb. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are served throughout the evening, and the verandah is available for those who would like fresh air between the courses.
